PORTFOLIO

Our Project Portfolio

Beetlewings has completed over 100 stretch ceiling projects across Bangkok and Thailand, in retail, hospitality, offices, homes and lifestyle spaces. The projects below are a selection, working directly with owners and alongside architects and interior designers.

They cover the full range of what a stretch ceiling can do: backlit lightboxes, RGB and RGBW colour systems, curved and multi-layer designs, and plain seamless white finishes. All of them have to hold up in Bangkok humidity, which is where plaster ceilings crack, stain and grow mould.

Retail & Commercial Projects

Big C Amnat Charoen: Retail Lightbox Ceiling

We installed a seamless lightbox stretch ceiling at Big C Amnat Charoen. The design distributes light evenly across the retail floor, avoiding glare and creating a clean, premium shopping environment. This project shows how large retail spaces benefit from modern ceiling solutions.

Silom Edge Mall: RGB Stretch Ceiling

At Silom Edge, we upgraded commercial spaces with RGB lighting integrated into stretch ceilings. The colour-changing system allows shop owners to adjust mood and atmosphere instantly. This project improved both customer experience and visual branding.

Car Showroom: Luxury Display Lighting

For a Bangkok showroom, we designed a suspended stretch ceiling with hidden lighting. The result made vehicles appear under gallery-quality lighting. This project highlights how lighting and ceilings shape a brand’s premium image.

Hospitality & Restaurant Projects

TEPPEN Ekkamai: Japanese Dining Atmosphere

Working with Key Concept Architects, Beetlewings created a ceiling design for TEPPEN Ekkamai, a Japanese restaurant. Using RGBW LEDs, concealed lighting, and lightbox panels, the space reflects a minimal yet luxurious style. The design supports brand identity while enhancing the dining atmosphere.

Monkey Three Coffee: Lifestyle Café Upgrade

At Monkey Three Coffee in EmQuartier, Beetlewings installed a minimal stretch ceiling with concealed lighting. The design adds depth, controls light, and enhances customer comfort. This project shows how cafés benefit from stylish yet practical ceiling upgrades.

Little Pines Kids Club: Child-Friendly Lighting

For Little Pines Kids Club, Beetlewings installed a suspended lightbox ceiling with LED modules at 6000K. The result is a bright, safe, and visually engaging environment for children. Durability and easy maintenance were key factors for this project.

Corporate & Office Projects

Gulf Development Rayong: Corporate Hall Ceiling

For Gulf Development (Public Co., Ltd.) in Rayong, Beetlewings installed a two-layer stretch ceiling with integrated LED lighting, covering a hall of 5.3m x 3.2m. The two-layer build allows the lighting to sit between planes rather than being surface-mounted.

Office Reception Upgrade: Bangkok Corporate Space

A standard office reception was transformed with a white stretch ceiling, creating a bright, modern, and welcoming atmosphere. The result boosted brand value and made the first impression far more professional.

One Bangkok: Modern Office Design

At One Bangkok, we installed curved stretch ceilings with integrated lighting. The curve softens a large open office floor, and the lit surface makes the space read as taller and more open than a flat ceiling would.

Residential & Lifestyle Projects

The Obsidian, Bang Waek: Luxury Backlit Ceiling

At The Obsidian residential project, Beetlewings installed a backlit stretch ceiling. The design provided both luxury and warmth, enhancing the home with controllable mood lighting. This project highlights how stretch ceilings transform private homes.

Curved Round Ceiling with Cove Lighting: Wellness Space

We designed a round curved ceiling with concealed cove lighting. The result was a soft, natural glow suitable for spas, lounges, or living rooms. This style creates peace, elegance, and unique aesthetics for wellness environments.

High-End Residential Lightbox

For a luxury home, Beetlewings installed a stretch lightbox ceiling that spreads light uniformly across living areas. The finish added elegance while requiring minimal extra decoration.

What These Projects Have in Common

  • Every sector
Shopping malls, restaurants and cafes, corporate offices, retail showrooms, kids’ facilities and private homes.
  • Direct and via design teams
We work straight with owners, and as the ceiling specialist alongside architects and interior designers. TEPPEN Ekkamai was delivered with Key Concept Architects.
  • Bangkok and beyond
Across the Bangkok metropolitan area, plus provincial commercial work including Rayong and Amnat Charoen.
  • Lighting built in, not added on
On most of these projects the ceiling is the light source. Wiring, cut-outs and LED layout are planned before the membrane goes up.

What kinds of ceiling are shown in these projects?

The portfolio covers most of what a stretch ceiling can do: fully backlit lightbox ceilings (Little Pines Kids Club, Big C Amnat Charoen), colour-changing RGB systems (Silom Edge Mall), RGBW with lightbox panels (TEPPEN Ekkamai), curved ceilings with integrated lighting (One Bangkok), two-layer designs (Gulf Development), concealed cove lighting (Monkey Three Coffee, wellness spaces), and plain seamless white finishes for offices.

Yes. The projects above span shopping malls, restaurants and cafes, corporate offices and halls, retail showrooms, kids’ facilities, and private homes and condos.

Yes. Alongside the Bangkok metropolitan area, the portfolio includes provincial commercial work: Gulf Development in Rayong and Big C in Amnat Charoen.

A framed cavity of LEDs sitting behind a translucent membrane, so the whole ceiling becomes one evenly lit surface rather than a ceiling with fittings in it. It is the approach used at Little Pines Kids Club and Big C, where the goal is bright, shadow-free light across a wide floor with no glare and no visible fixtures.

RGB mixes red, green and blue, which produces strong colours but not a true white. RGBW adds a dedicated white channel, so the ceiling also works as ordinary white lighting. Silom Edge Mall uses colour-changing lighting so tenants can shift the mood of their unit, and TEPPEN Ekkamai uses RGBW, where the room needs to function as a normal lit restaurant as well as carry colour.

A two-layer build sets one ceiling plane below another, so lighting can sit in the gap between them instead of being surface-mounted or recessed into a single flat plane. It gives depth and indirect light, which suits a large corporate hall where a flat lit ceiling would look plain.

Yes. Cut-outs for sprinkler heads, air vents, speakers and downlights are formed in the membrane during installation, so existing services stay in place and stay functional. This is planned before the membrane goes up rather than cut afterwards, so positions need confirming at the design stage.

Three reasons show up repeatedly in these projects. The membrane does not absorb moisture, so it will not crack, stain or grow mould the way plaster and gypsum do in this climate. It is installed without demolition or dust, which matters in a trading or occupied space. And it is welded to size, so a large area is covered in one seamless piece with no visible joins.
